Hannibal sketches: draw the rude

Some things I have been doing: packing, getting hooked on the Hannibal fandom (I was already sold on the show), and spending more time with my mom before going back home to London.

I am not a horror or a gore fan, but I love murder mysteries. Silence of the Lambs is one of my top five all-time favourite films. Still, the TV show is even more stressful than I expected!

One coping mechanism I have is eating food that will ensure the Gentleman Cannibal will want to murder me but won't dare eat me, for fear of dying of cholesterol, sodium, or sugar. The other is speed-sketching.

Not a real scene from the merboy story, just a piece of fluff: Fionn teaching Hyacinth to read out of one of those 'fairy tales from around the world' books that I had as a kid. Pentel waterbrush, etc.; plus Koh-I-Noor Hardmuth brown lead with Cotman watercolours for the background.

Fanart: Thorin Smokin'shield

So I never really noticed Richard Armitage until he played Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit, and even now I am weaker for the King Under the Mountain than the handsome British actor. So here is a watercolour sketch of Thorin peeling carrots. You're welcome.

blast from future past: Treasure Planet

Treasure Planet was in 2002, for goodness' sake, and I still can't get over James Pleiades Hawkins and his 90s hairdo and ridiculous face.

I kind of want to draw his adventures at space academy. Scratch that, I really want to draw his adventures at space academy. He'd fall in with a lovable bunch of misfits, only a few humans but mostly alien races, and they'd get far better results than any of the legacy kids, and at the end of the third year there is an attempted pirate takeover and they foil it, and that's pretty much their graduation.

Yes, I have put too much thought into this. That's why it would be amazing.

It's time for the annual Birthday Wish list! And I mean like Santa-style, wish-upon-a-star list, as everybody likes to play around with on their birthdays.

1) A ticket to ride (or possibly a chicken to ride, according to the mondegreen)

2) A Lomo Lubitel, LC-A, LC-A Wide, or possibly just a film SLR

3) Adobe Illustrator? or possibly a Photoshop that isn't Elements? ;_;

4) a Wacom Intuos

5) Alcoholic hot chocolate with either homemade or Bailey's marshmallows, mmm.

6) ...and as for non-tangibles, I really wish I had a week in Manila to spend with my friends ;_; ;_; ;_;

What else do I want? My cousin's coming home from Barcelona, and my uncle will be in town the week after, so that'll be fun. I'm actually set for books, just for once. And there are lots of nice toys in the house to play with. Really the only thing I sincerely want more of at this point is free time, and a bit more money. Isn't that what everyone wants?
